Modern Family: "Caught in the Act"

My brief review of last night's episode of Modern Family is after the jump

I thought "Caught in the Act" was a very funny episode. It was funny if for no other reason then the kids' reactions during the episode. This show has a great group of kids in Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, and Nolan Gould. (Rico Rodriguez was notably absent in this episode.) They gave very funny performances in this episode. Although their plotline was very silly, it was still very funny.

Ty Burrell gave a noticeably good performance, he was just hysterical. Julie Bowen also gave a very good performance.

The Gloria/Jay subplot was not very notable. It wasn't anywhere near the funniest part of the episode but it was still funny.

The Mitchell and Cameron subplot was probably just to give them a role in the episode. Sometimes their plotlines are just annoying rather then funny. This was one of those times.

I thought this episode was average for an episode of Modern Family but average for this show is still very funny.

Some ground rules for you to follow when commenting here:
1. This is probably the most important rule: be nice. I will not tolerate any rudeness towards other commenters or myself.
2. Be relevant, comments will be deleted if they are not relevant to the discussion.
3. No spoilers, I and many other people don't want to know what your mother's, sister's, best friend's, brother said about what's going to happen on Chuck. There are many places for discussing what's going to happen on the show in the future, this isn't one of them.
